Father's Day Fun

After the BBQ steak and shrimp shishkabobs (sp?)

We finally caught both the kids and had them pose with Daddy.

Isaiah took this pic of
Emery and Daddy having
a moment

and he caught me too...doing what I do all day, finding shoes and helping put them back on little feet :)

I am so thankful for you Alan and the father you are to our precious children. I know it isn't always easy, the screaming or crying children moments, not sleeping through the night, eating burnt meals (mostly bread), dealing with emotional outbreaks the moment you walk in the door even you are so tired, but I will always be glad you and I are in this for good, no matter how hard. -forever yours

A geoducky yucky day

So do any of you know what a geoduck is? If that is even how you spell it. Well in case you don't know, there are only a few times a year that the tide is low enough to see and dig for these huge clam like creatures. Some of them were around 7 lbs and had necks the were over 12" long. The kids did not go, and though I was close to letting Isaiah follow along in his family's muddy footsteps that day, after they came back 5 hours later covered in mud, I was glad he had stayed home (Emmy had a cold and cough).
These gross things take multiple ppl to dig them out. I think there were 8 in this group that went. One person to hold the neck (can't let it pull apart...gross), one to bucket water out if needed, and at least one or two to dig.

I think Isaiah squeezed this one too hard and it wet him. Had to wash those clothes right away.:)

Leanne loved it as you can imagine...teenage girl, cold, wet, early in the morning. (we love her though)

Pants problem

Who does this remind you of?

ummm hmmmm

Oh the silly things that get a laugh. Easy entertainment around here I say.

Finally getting some sunshine (notice still need light jackets though), the kids had fun watching our bunny explore and enjoy the yummy, green grass. We named her whisper, Alan and Isaiah call her Beulla.

Scary Suggestions

I realize it has been a while since I have posted anything. This morning, I have a short story. The kids and I usually spend the first 15 minutes or so of the morning snuggling in 'Daddy and Mommy's' bed with me. Emmy has a cold again so she is extra snuggly (not a word I don't think, but you know what I mean). Isaiah, the good, kind big brother he is (usually) tickled her, made her laugh, then looked up at me and said " Mommy I may no never baby". I asked him to repeat himself and after I still didn't quite understand his meaning...he changed his words to become.." Mommy, when am I ever going to have a baby brother or sister? I really want one!" I guess one sister is not enough for him...he may not always feel that way :)

The kids love to pretend. Well, one pretends, and one follows anything her brother does. Today Isaiah ran or rather crawled up to me and said "here Mommy, throw the stick for me so I can go get it!" Then he ran off barking. Before I know it,
I have two little doggies who want me to throw them bones to fetch :)
