Some things we have been Up to

Winter is here and thankfully, everyone got another big part of the roof fixed before all of the rain came each and every day (there was a leak upstairs and in the kitchen). I now need to get going on painting the kitchen ceiling because of water damage...but I keep putting it off. Oh to only find the time.

This fall was Isaiah's 3rd year playing soccer. He loves it more than ever and has dreams about him playing with his team for weeks after the games stop. He says he misses it...
Here is Emery excited that she may get to play next year on the preschool team. That should be interesting. We are looking forward to it.
Isaiah and his team

Another 3rd...Ranger Highschool Football. Alan's 3rd (and final he says) year of being head coach. It sure has been a crazy ride and learning experience. He has gotten the chance to witness pretty intensely with a few of the guys in these 3 years so we are thankful for those seeds that have been planted. We will see what happens next year...we have missed him

The chickens now have a mostly warm, dry, finished home. This was taken a couple days before it was finished, but now they are very happy...any day I am sure they will start popping out those eggs.

Some random school games and projects

Happy kiddos

Happy for this season of thanksgiving and giving praise to God for sending His Son to save us. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

A Random Conversation

The little girl I babysit who is almost 6 says:

J: "Isaiah, when we grow up and get married..."

ISAIAH: (interrupting her) "What! We ARE NOT getting married!!!"

J: "Well I have to marry someone!"

ISAIAH: "Humph Well it's not going to be me"

Emmy just sits there and laughs

Finally some Summer

These are a couple pictures from a few months ago when we had to dig and install a new water pump. I am not even going to ask my Dad what it costs, but we did what we could, Alan dug and worked furiously, and i took pictures (but it isn't my fault, they won't let me even touch a tool! hmmm, i wonder why...so maybe I have broken a tool or two, but it is my opinion that tools really should be made much better!)
There is a little boy climbing around in the dirt in every one of my pictures! He loved it and asked if we could keep the giant, long 'Army hole' across the driveway forever.

And poor Grandma, Alan even made HER work and dig!!! Can you believe it?!?!?!?

Just joking, she wanted to help

Easter time, obviously it was a short hunt based on the number of eggs they both have

Later that day...at the community hunt (the kids like this one because these eggs are full of candy - I like it too)

Emmy making some new friends - some friends of ours from Multnomah now have 3 boys!

Our wonderful family from Idaho came for a visit...there are many more pictures, I just couldn't choose

Mothers Day in the park 2010 so thankful for a warmer day so we could get Grandma to the park too!

Isaiah has now played his first year of tball. Kinda cool his field is the same field that I played tball and softball on for 10 years. This picture is on our way to his first game

Champions at the parade - the after school program we began going to. The local church does it for outreach to the local public school. Our kids seem to love it and it is about the only thing there is to do here in Brinnon so we were glad to find it!

More friend time

Emmy being cool like her Mommy (yeah right)
She said to me today "Mom, will you put my stuffed giraffe in the mail box and send it to someone else because I am too grown for animals that I have to hold up!"

Ballet - I am so sad that our camera couldn't catch these girls doing their dance. I was also video taping all this time too so I didn't do either very well. Emmy is the one farthest away from the camera, but facing it.

Now her back is to us...at least the video turned out a little better

Tball for Isaiah
What a group! (there are actually 6 missing) Wouldn't you like to be their coach??? :) I didn't, I said I will just watch from back here this time

Isaiah had such a great tball season...and next year our kids have hopes that they will get to be on the same tball team, probably the only time ever because tball is for 4-6yr olds. They can't wait!

Finally, a river day! Just look at the smiles.

The sand is actually the only warm place

Alan kept hiding from the camera, but Pete placed himself in many shots - I love dogs, but I don't love to share my towel with them and Pete is very snuggly and loving when he gets a chance

We Got...a...van

After weeks of looking, thinking, stressing, missing deals...we came upon a hopeful great buy. Our car, the first car Alan and I bought together, has done so well for us. But it was time to grow a little, stop stuffing grocery bags on and around our kids for the hour long drive home :) Anyway, we will see in a year or so if it was the best choice, but for now, we are pretty happy (and the kids keep thanking us for the 'big van')

the new year...

Well, I do not have much time to write- but overall we are doing fine, the kids are growing and learning faster than I can keep up it seems. Here are some pictures of the beginning of the year - I can't believe it is March already!!!

Christmas pictures...never will I wait until the beginning of December to get these taken!!! Oh my what lines - but I do love the pictures!!!

Singing happy birthday to Grandma and Great great Grandma (as the kids call her) 91 years

New special dress from G&G
matching doll dress! Emmy loves it

Christmas time

We are back from Boise and after such a fun, family filled number of days, it has been hard to get back to normal-fun kind.
We did all sorts of things while we were there, visited with many friends and family, ate tons of good food :), played games, watched Christmas movies, got to go through the coffee drive thru (we don't have any in our town so it is always a treat).
Emmy got a new doll from her Grandpa and Grandma - here she finally figured out that it goes to the bathroom after you feed it...the problem is, no reusing the diapers so off to the store parents have to go to stock up on more of those little things (not me I say the diaper changing days and spending are over)

Here are many pictures, way out of order, but I just couldn't get myself together enough to put them in their correct timeline spots...

Trying on cousin's skates. Isaiah is 'helping her' learn

but of course everything is funnier when falling down happens

A Christmas bow...happy or sad???

Emery and Gunner...she loves him a little too much sometimes...he looks like he is headed somewhere else in a hurry ha ha :)

Showing the camera her new backpack

Our cousins got some cool bathtub crayons...the kids wasted no time in using them, and it kept them busy and quiet for a long time. It came out of Emery's clothes, hope it has actually come off everything else in the bathroom too (Lisa?)

Surprise!!! We got to sneak out onto the field and run around on the blue turf

Trying stuff on in the store...I hope this doesn't push either of the kids to have some crazy hair days in real life! Yikes!

Might have been Christmas Eve? All those jammies and smiles. I think they are having fun
