A little slap in the face

I love each stage that my kids go through. There are new kinds of fun at each of them. There are some bad things too...I encourage Isaiah to be observant, yet sometimes that means he will be too honest and letting people know just what he thinks (as in bad smells, bigger or older people). So we also have to teach kindness. Anyway, this one is about me. Yesterday I was in a rush to get out of the door because we were late to my sister's volleyball game. I was quickly walking around the house getting dressed and looking or everyone's shoes when Isaiah stopped, looked at me and said "Mom you look so beautiful!" and as I started to smile and say thanks, he went on to twist his face into something looking not quite so pleased and said " but not your tummy it doesn't". Ouch, he only confirmed something I fight with my self about every day...time to get more serious on the workout schedule I think. Yikes

Ah, the mouths of children. Seriously Krysten, you don't need to worry about how you look at all. You look great!

That's hilarious! I kinda had the same thing yesterday. I was sitting on the couch talking on the phone and Nate lifted up my shirt and started giggling.
Not nice!
But seriously, Krysten, I'm sure you look more than good. You couldn't look bad if you tried.

First off, I know you're beautiful, despite a 4 year old's commentary. So none of our tummies look very good up close right now. So goes the child-bearing years. But does dear little Isaiah realize your tummy is a result of him? :-)

Oh Isaiah... he'll learn tact with age (hopefully). :) Yet I agree with Erica. You couldn't look bad if you tried!! Just take the first part of his cute and dear little comment about your beauty, and erase the last half! :)
