The last couple weeks...surviving the heat...sort of

Thankfully, here we are. We have not yet had to evacuate our houses here on the Duckabush...I don't know that it was a HUGE threat, but when I start hearing my Dad think talk about it and make preparations, I start thinking about it a lot. But here we are still. The sun is hiding behind the clouds of smoke and things have cooled off enough to water now.

Here are some recent pictures of the kitties. Of course the kids love them, I am trying to keep them alive through the visits the kids make to them... can't get Alan to hardly look at them (he is a very busy guy and true, I would rather he pay attention to the kids than the kitties).

These pictures are mixed up again, but here is one from last week when the kids and I (and my sister L) tagged along with Alan to his coaching school where we sat around in the 103 degree heat and spend many hours in the pool. Here the kids are paddling around in the 9 foot deep pool laughing and having such a good time.

Some river pictures on one of those hot days

My Aunt took the kids to the game farm. It was a very hot and exhausting day, but we had a good time. Emery has decided she likes the white goats more than the grey ones.

Being silly in the petting farm
This one is ok too she says

Another baby

Dryer had a broken belt for almost 2 weeks. So when the part finally came, look who I found inside:

Later that night...dancing with Daddy. Oh wait I had to delete those pictures. Alan thought he was wearing longer shorts
